SACRAMENTO, CALIFORNIA (September 22, 2015) – The Pacific Challenge Series presented by is embroiled in an exciting points duel between Mike Beeler and John Moore with the series’ ninth points race hitting the track this Saturday at All American Speedway. The Roseville, CA one-third mile asphalt oval will host the series for its third of four appearances in 2015.

Saturday’s action is being billed the “Fall Classic” with the North State Modified Series, Street Stocks, and Bombers also competing. The North State Modified race will be their championship race and that division also has a close battle with Darrin Knight and Tripp Gaylord tied for the lead.

Beeler, in the Beeler Industries #6 Chevy out of Salida, grabbed a critical victory in round eight at Stockton 99 Speedway on September 5th to take over the points lead by six points over Moore. Moore finished third in the JM Environmental #27 Camaro to win the Tri-Holiday Stockton points series.

Both drivers have experienced teams leading their efforts, with Beeler’s car prepared by former K&N West champion Mike David while Moore has teamed up with Ty Joiner who is a championship K&N West crew chief and has spent time in the Camping World Truck Series. The battle looks to go down to the wire with Roseville on Saturday and the season points finale the following week at Ukiah.

“Mike (David) said all we need to do is win a couple of races to win the championship,” Beeler said. “Its been a really good battle between a couple of old guys and we’re having fun with it.”

Moore’s full time effort in 2015 is somewhat of a comeback season after a few years off of the trail.

“Love this series; its the most fun I’ve had in race cars since I started 15 years ago. The competitors are challenging. Some great drivers, great equipment,” Moore said. “The rules in this division are very favorable and inviting to the racer.”

PCS uses a throwaway points system where the lowest points score at the end of the year is thrown out. Ironically both Beeler and Moore have recorded their worst finishes in Roseville events this season and Moore leads Beeler by two markers with the throwaways factored.

Considering the lack of success the pair has had at Roseville in 2015, third in points Cole Moore looks poised to pounce on any opportunity to take over the top spot. Cole Moore, a rookie to Late Model racing, trails Beeler by 18 points in the overall order.

The balance of the top-ten in points includes Folsom rookie Hunter Corbitt, Elk Grove’s Ron Chunn, Grass Valley’s Don Swartz, Elk Grove’s Mike Hite, June Roseville winner Travis Milburn, Auburn’s Austin Gant, and four-time series winner Jeremy Doss. Doss is the only repeat race winner in the PCS this year.

Action begins on Friday night with an optional practice session from 3:30 p.m. – 8 p.m. Satruday’s schedule sees pit gates open at noon with cars on the track beginning at 2 p.m. Grandstands will open at 4 p.m. with racing at 6 p.m. The All American Speedway is located at the Placer County Fairgrounds in Roseville, CA. Adult tickets are $15, with youth and seniors $7, and kids five and under are free!
